1. Who we are

Scinta is operated by Anton Holub, individual entrepreneur (ФОП Голуб Антон Євгенійович), registered in Ukraine at 32 Shevchenka St., Apt. 10, Kremenchuk, Poltava region, 39600, Ukraine. We are the controller for the personal data we collect about users of our product and this website. For any privacy question, contact hello@scinta.app.

2. What we collect and why

• Email address - when you join the waitlist or purchase a subscription. Used to contact you about the product and to manage your subscription.
• Screenshots you choose to process with AI features - when you use an AI smart action or Ask AI, your capture is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI processing provider to generate the result. Captures are processed transiently: we do not store them, and they are not used to train AI models. On-device features (text copy, QR decoding) never leave your Mac.
• Device identifier and usage counts - an anonymous identifier generated by the app, used to enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
• Diagnostics - crash reports and basic technical data (app version, macOS version), used to fix bugs and improve the product.

Payment data (card details, billing address) is collected and processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, acting as an independent controller - see Paddle's privacy policy.

3. Legal bases

Where data protection law applies, we rely on:

• Performance of a contract - providing the app and its features, managing subscriptions and plan limits;
• Legitimate interests - securing the service, preventing abuse, and improving the product through diagnostics;
• Consent - waitlist and any marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• Legal obligation - where we must retain or disclose data by law.

4. Who we share data with

• OpenAI (USA) - transient processing of captures for AI features; not used for model training;
• Google Cloud / Firebase (USA) - hosting, databases, and backend infrastructure;
• Paddle - merchant of record for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing;
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary;
• Authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Our service providers process data on servers located in the United States and other countries. Where data of users in the EEA or UK is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision applicable to the provider.

6. Retention

Screenshots processed by AI features are not stored by us. Waitlist and account emails are kept while your registration or subscription is active and deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. Usage counters are kept only as long as needed to enforce plan limits. Diagnostics are retained for a limited period for debugging.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Users in the EEA or UK may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority or the UK Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise any right, email hello@scinta.app - we respond within one month, extendible as allowed by law.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure credential storage.

9. Cookies

This website does not use cookies. If we introduce analytics or other cookies in the future, we will update this notice and provide a way to manage preferences.
